Nightmares to Come
Introductions
Hey everyone! My name is William F. Gray, and I help run the group Voices of Horror on Facebook. Created with the intention of creating a fair, kind space for readers, authors, and anyone in between to commune and share the thing we love most: horror stories.
Part of that mission is to find a way to spotlight new and/or marginalized voices, as well as bringing content from authors we all know and love. The intent is to create an enjoyable experience for all, where new writers are found and you learn more about the ones we’re constantly reading.
Below are a handful of categories as well as some links within to participate in the publication of this Substack, which will be shared to the group weekly as well as sent out to anyone who subscribes!
1. Release Announcements
If you have a new release coming, we’ll send out a post with once at the beginning of the month that will feature all the submitted novels that are coming out! This has to be submitted by the end of the day of the month preceding the release (i.e.: if it comes out in December, fill out the form by November 15th at the latest).
You can find the form HERE.
2. Interviews
This is the thing I’m most excited to spearhead! I’ll be posting written interviews with authors that both submit a form to be featured as well as some that I inquire with. The first one will be coming next week, and is none other than Michael Wehunt, author of The October Film Haunt. It’s a fantastic debut novel that is possibly the craziest swing I’ve seen in someone new in the world of major publishing, and his behind the scenes into the story and its structure are so enjoyable whether you’ve read it or not (but I do recommend trying to read it before the interview, as it is a tad bit spoiler-y).
If you’re interested in filling out an interview form, you can find it HERE.
3. Reviews
Myself and several other admins will be posting reviews of books we’re reading to the Substack once-to-twice a month. Some will be newer releases, some might be older but lesser known!
Interested in being featured for a review? Please submit HERE.
4. Cool ideas for content?
If you have an idea that you think readers would enjoy, please email voicesofhorror2025@gmail.com with the information or reach out to me via Facebook!
Farewell for Now.
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’m excited for the future here, and can’t wait to collaborate with many of you!
